Funeral service for Mary L. Klopp, 76, were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Yocom-Murdoch Chapel with the Rev. James P. Gable and the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Seeks, LaVerne Seeks, Donald Patschke, Clifford Hare, Glenn Baker and Otho Baker.
Mrs. Klopp died Monday at 12:45 p.m. suddenly at her home on Blairs Ferry Road. She was born May 25, 1873, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Augusta Cooper Stockberger. A life long resident of Linn County, she was married to Stephen H. Klopp Nov. 20, 1890 in Marion. Mr. Klopp passed away Nov. 28, 1924. She was a member of the Marion Methodist church.
She is survived by 10 children, Daniel J., Marion; Miss Erma Klopp, Mrs. Ida L. Bruce, Wilbur S., and Mrs. Laura A. Bowser, all of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Mary E. Cleveland, Chicago; Lloyd L. and Loren E., Marion; Orlan M., Walker, and Mrs. Gladys M. Wood, Springville; 23 grand children; 12 great grand children; a sister, Mrs. Verna Baker, Cedar Rapids, and a brother, Arthur Stockberger Eugene, Ore. A son Orville L. died in 1913, and a son Arthur T. died Dec. 2, 1949.
