William L. Kassler, 100, of 245 Eighth St., a lifelong resident of Marion, died Friday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was born Nov. 22, 1881, at Marion and married Alice Miller in 1901 at Youngstown, Ohio. She died on March 17, 1960. Mr. Kassler was employed by the Linn County Road Department for may years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert Shafer of Toddville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and Delmar Burns of Marion, who was raised in the Kassler home.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion by the Rev. Dick Watkins of the First United Methodist Church. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Friends may call at the Murdoch Chapel after 3 p.m. Monday.
