Friday morning at the early hour of four o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Harley McCaulley [sic] at her home four miles north of the city. She had been ill for the past three weeks and just a few days ago an operation had been performed which no doubt caused her early demise. The deceased was the mother of three children, all of which are small. She is survived by a husband, three small children and many other relatives. The funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased and conducted by the Rev. James Alkin Smith, pastor of the Presbyterian church, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The interment will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
