Mrs. William L. Kassler, 80, 977 Twentieth st., Marion, died Thursday morning in a Cedar Rapids hospital. She suffered a heart attack 2 weeks ago.
Born Alice Miller, Nov. 21, 1879, in Armstrong county, Pa., she came to Marion in 1898. She was married at Marion ion 1901.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Robert Mitchell W.R.C., No. 126.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Rugg of Wauconda, Ill., a cousin, Delmar Burns of Marion, who was reared in the Kassler home, 2 granddaughters, 3 sisters, Edith Houser, Apollo, Pa., Mae Fetterman, Leechburg, Pa., and Mrs. George E. Starks, Marion, and a brother, Lewis Miller, Apollo.
Services: Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Murdoch chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Ralph E. Baker, pastor of the Marion Methodist church. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the Murdoch chapel.
