Mrs. Florilla Miles, wife of J.A. Miles, died Monday night at 10:10 at her home three miles northeast of Marion. She had been ill about three years, and a great sufferer much of the time, but had borne her pain with patience. Florilla Fishell Miles was a daughter of pioneer parents, the late Peter Fishell and his wife, and was born in 1865. Twenty-four years of her life were spent in the house in which she died. She is survived by three children, Mrs. Leila Pflughaupt, of Viola; Glenn of Robins; and Gage of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Mrs. Lucinda Fishel of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Helbig and Mrs. Emma Zachary, of Marion; Mrs. C.O. Wilson of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Squire Fishell, of Cedar Rapids, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral was held today at the Church of the Brethren at Robins, at burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
