Gage Claire Miles of the Milner hotel, a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and vicinity and a boiler engineer at the Co-op Dairy for 25 years before his retirement in 1952, died at 4 a.m. Monday after a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1887, at Robins.
Surviving are a son, Gage C., Miles, jr., and two daughters, Fay Knowles and Iona Mittvalsky, all of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; a brother, Glen Miles of Cedar Rapids, and two sisters, Leila Pflughaupt of Central City and Florence Sutera of Robins.
Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Russell Burriss of the Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel
