Jack S. Collins, 61, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday in Liberty, Mo.
Born Feb. 6, 1917 [sic], at Des Moines, he was married to Alice Hewitt May 30, 1936, at Cedar Rapids. Mr. Collins, a resident of Excelsior Springs, Mo., the last 20 years served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, and while in Cedar Rapids was associated with Gifford-Brown, Inc. and Collins Radio.
He was presently owner of Lectro Reps. Inc., of Liberty, Mo. Mr. Collins was a member of St. James' Catholic Church, Liberty; and a 20-year member and past president of the Heart of American Chapter of Electronic Reps. Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Williams, North Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Stephanie Forbes, St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Harry Larson, Des Moines.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion by the Rev. Walter Kleinfehn of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel after 9 a.m. A memorial fund has been established.
