Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the Yocom Funeral chapel at Marion for Mrs. Delroy Smith, who died Wednesday in a Chicago hospital, following a six weeks' illness. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
As Blanche Evelyn Kimball, she was born in Oxford Junction, Oct. 18, 1905, the daughter of Charles O. and Myrtle Tanner Kimball. The family moved to a farm between Marion and Springville in 1909. Mrs. Smith received her education in the schools of Springville and Marion. She attended the Presbyterian church. She was married in Crown Point, Indiana, Nov. 6, 1926, to Delroy Smith of Chicago. Two children were born to them, Beverly Ann and Roger Kimball Smith, who with her husband survive. She leaves her mother, Mrs. C.O. Kimball of Marion; a sister, Miss Lucille Kimball, of Chicago; and six brothers, Edward of Chicago; Clarence of San Bernardino, Calif., Forest, Warren, Richard and Ronald of Marion.
