Ruth Maier, 90, formerly of 1234 12th St., Marion, died Wednesday morning in Winslow House Care Center, Marion, following a long illness.
She was born Aug. 20, 1895, near Alburnett, and was a secretary for Sheets & Son Insurance Co. for 38 years prior to retirement. SHe was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 60-year member of Marion Chapter of OES, of which she served as secretary for 18 years.
Nieces and nephews survive.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at Baxter Memorial Chapel, Marion, from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established.
