Pat Thompson Obituary
Pat A. Thompson was born at Marion, Iowa, May 5, 1869 and died at the same place October 24, 1923, at the age of 55 years. He was the son of Samuel D. and Lucetta Wilson Thompson, and was the youngest of a family of nine children, four of whom survive him. They are James of Cedar Rapids; Gertrude, now Mrs. H.C. Graham of Davenport; Mattie, now Mrs. Fred Shoemaker of Washington; and Nellie, now Mrs. F.H. Schermerhorn of Kansas City, Mo. The deceased are Mrs. Mary Johns, Mrs. {Effie} Crane and Carl S. and Allen H.
Pat spent his entire life in Marion, and had many friends, especially among the children, by whom he will be greatly missed. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
