D.G. Cain, an old resident of Palo, died at his home last night. He is eighty years of age and leaves a wife and three children, John Cain of Palo, Dave Cain of Hull, and Mrs. C.E. Lilly of this place. The funeral will take place from his home on Wednesday afternoon.

Note: D.G. Cain's first wife and mother of the children listed was Elizabeth Pierce Cain (1819-1871). Information on the identity of his second wife, or if this reference was made in error is unknown.
