Mechanicsville - Funeral services were held today (Thurs.) at 2 p.m. in the Horner Funeral Home for Mrs. Maud Platner, Lisbon. Pastor George Gallaher officiated at the service.

Mrs. Platner died in the Anamosa hospital Nov. 2. She had been there since being injured in an auto accident recently.

Maude Ethel Platner, daughter of B. W. and Ada Vernon Hempy, was born near Lisbon on Nov. 6, 1893. She was married to Harold C. Platner on March 25, 1914. They were the parents of two children, Ivan and Iris.

Survivors include, her husband, Harold; a son, Ivan Platner, Martelle; and a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Iris) Plattenberger, Lisbon. Also a grandson, Douglas and two granddaughters, Cynthia and Kay.

Donald Overbaugh, George Brown, Edward Jack, Clarence Miller, J. Robert Ross and C. J. Miller were pallbearers. Interment in the Rose Hill cemetery with Horner's Funeral service in charge.
