Cedar Rapids - Robert C. Hammond, 56, owner of the Little Pigs Barbecue House, died Friday at his home. He was the father of Mrs. Arthur Paul, Mechanicsville.

Mr. Hammond was born March 13, 1909 at Rock Island, Ill. He was married on Feb. 16, 1929 to Ruth Dage at Monmouth, Ill. They lived in Marion until 1952 and moved to Minneapolis, Minn., returning to Iowa and Cedar Rapids in 1961.

In addition to Mrs. Paul, he is survived by a son, Sgt. Robert C. Hammond, Jr., who is stationed at the Vandenburg, Calif., air force base and a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Walls, Minneapolis, three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Peterson, East Moline, Ill.

Funeral services were held in the Murdoch Chapel, Marion.
