Mrs. Alta M. Hartson, 789 Fifth Avenue, Marion, died at her home at 4:30 p.m. Sunday [8/4/1946] after a brief illness. Born Feb 19, 1881, at Parkersburg, Ia., she had been a resident of Cedar Rapids for 23 years. She moved to Marion two years ago. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ebsen and Mrs. Alta Rawson of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Vera Hilton of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Celia Camp, Marion; two sons, Archie of Marion and Everett, Bellflower, Calif., 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hartson was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may call at the chapel.
