Celia Mae Mottinger Camp, 87, a longtime resident of Stone City and formerly of Marion, died Sunday, March 5, 1995, of cancer in her son's home in Cedar Rapids. Born the daughter of John and Alta Farnham Hartson on May 15, 1907, in Spicer, Minnesota, she married Lewis Mottinger in 1926, He died in 1928. She then married Joseph Camp on October 18, 1929 in Watertown, South Dakota. He died February 21, 1968. Celia was a homemaker and a member of Jordan's Grove Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary No. 298 and Loyal Star of America.
Surviving are five sons, Lewis Mottinger and wife Anna of Solon, Gilbert Camp and wife Diane of Marion, Dale Camp and wife Nancy of Cedar Rapids, Frank Camp and wife Evelyn of Bettendorf and Richard Camp and wife Marilyn of Stone City; a daughter Shirley Thompson and husban Rod of Cedar Rapids; and a half-brother, John Hartson of Puyollup, Washington.
Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren; twentyfour great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, two brothers and five sisters. Celia loved baking cookies for her family and will be greatly missed by all.
