Services Thursday for Carl H. Struchen, 66

Carl H. Struchen, 66, a retired farmer of Alburnett, died Tuesday at 11:27 a.m. at his home, 892 Eighth avenue, following a long illness.
Born Feb. 2, 1891, on a farm northwest of Alburnett, he was married June 11, 1919, to Harriet Johnson at Marion. Mr. and Mrs. Struchen continued to reside on the farm where he was born until moving to Marion in 1940. He was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four sons, Eugene and Jerry Struchen of Marion, Norman L. Struchen of Webster City, and Donald D. Struchen of Adel; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Skallerup, Morton Grove, Ill., Mrs. Kenny Kroeger, Cedar Rapids and Shirley Struchen at home, and a sister, Mrs. T.O. Kolb, Perry Okla.
Services: At the Murdoch chapel, Marion, Thursday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Burial in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
