Monday Services Set for Stella S. Whipple

Alburnett – Stella S. Whipple, 65, a Lafayette resident for 45 years, died Saturday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born August 16, 1908, at Big Stone City, S.D. She was married to Ray E. Whipple on March 30, 1939 at Lafayette.
Surviving are her husband; her mother, Amanda Schmickle, Lafayette; and a sister, Clista Stephenson, Center Point.
Services: Monday at 2 p.m. at the Lafayette Christian church by the Rev. Forrest G. Arnold. Burial: Lafayette cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel, Center Point, from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday. The casket will not be open at the church.
