Verna K. Matteson, 72, of 528 Teakwood Lane NE, died Wed in her home after a long illness.
Born 5 Jun 1918 in Cedar Rapids, she married Donald Maudsley her in 1942. They later divorced. She then married Harold Matteson 20 Feb 1979, in Las Vegas. He died in 1982. Mr. and Mrs. Matteson owned and operated Matteson Health Products. She retired in 1981.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Ballard and Sharon Peterson; a son Dennis Maudsley and a sister, Evelyn Vance, all of Cedar Rapids; and three grandchildren.
Services, 1 pm Sun, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, by Mercy Hospice chaplain Lola Leary. Burial, Cedar Memorial Park Cem. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
