Frederick L. Boots, 68, of 341 Coral Dr. , died Mon 4 Sep 2000, in Mercy Medial Center, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 3 pm Thurs, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev Andrew Lawrence. Entombment: Cedar Memeorial Park Cem., Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 - 8 pm today and at the chapel after 2 pm Thurs.
Survivors include his wife, Jan (Kobusch); a son Jeffrey and wife Lisa of Urbana; a daughter, Renee (Ladd) Kibbie of Marion; a son from a former marriage, Timothy Boots of Cedar Rapids; 3 brothers, William and Herman of Cedar Rapids and Charles of Marion; and two sisters, Nellie Olson of Marion and Catherine Wink of Anamosa. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jessica Harbaugh, Andrew and Brittany Kibbie and Connor Boots.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don; and a grandson Braxton.
Fred was born 16 Feb 1964, in Iowa City. He was a member of Local 43 of the Laoborers Union and worked at Brown and Dyer Inc. for 30 years.
