In Response To: Ross Allison (Robert Allison)

Bluff Park Journal, May 7, 1891
Obit
Monday night at 11 o'clock Mr. Ross Allison breathed his last. He had reached the advanced age of 74 years. Old age and other afflictions was the cause of his death. He is survived by four children, John, Sam, Alex and Mrs. Myric Reed. His wife died in March of 1872.
Mr. Allison was born in Virginia, but has claimed residence here for more than forty years. He was a farmer by occupation, but for the last few years made his residence with his son John-up until the very hour of his death he maintained consciousness.
He was no church member, but was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and adopted a religious system of his own. He did his duty ever faithfully and well and will be most missed by those who knew him best. We offer our sympathy along with that of many friends, and think your father children, found the rest which is well deserved to those who do their duty well.

From the Montrose Cemetery Listing--Phydila Allison, wife of R.A., died Mar 4, 1872, aged 46 years, 3 months 9 days.

Ross Allison is not listed in the Montrose Cemetery Listing.

I hope this is of some help.
