Barbara, I am confused by your query. Jemima's marriage on the Lee Co website says that she m Appleby Breckenridge. Alexander W. Breckenridge m 1 Aug 1840, Louisa S. Breckenridge. I have two theories with respect to Jemima. She may be the widow of John Wright listed on page 369 of the 1840 Lee Co census (A. W. Breckenridge, Louisa's father, and A. M. Wright are listed on the same page. Or Jemima may be the daughter of John Wright. Of course, she may not be either of these. A John Wright m in Adams Co, OH, 13 Mar 1801, Jemima Thomas. John Wright's age as listed in the 1840 census is 60-69 years old (i.e. b in the 1770s. The oldest female in the household is 50-59 (b in the 1780s).
I have seen a statement in emails that Alexander Breckenridge did m a Jemima Wright and they had three children. Can you document the source of this marriage? Is Alexander listed in the 1850 or 1860 census with a wife, Jemima?
Before moving to Lee County, John Wright, Alexander M. Wright, and the Breckenridges lived in Clinton Co, IN. A Jemima Wright m in Clinton Co, 3 Oct 1850, John Barto.
I believe that Alexander M Wright is the son of John Wright.
