LEWIS, William C. b. abt 1848 in Lee County

Looking for any information about William Corydon Lewis, born about 1848 in Lee County, moved to Boulder, Colorado about 1870 and married Laura M. Giggey. They had four children: Albert, Winona, Hazel and Beulah Daisy. Family moved to Washington state around 1900.

I'm searching for anything about William while in Iowa (1848-1870). The only possible lead I have is a Miller family that might have taken William in when he was about three years old. That's everything I know.
