Today, Veterans Day, I received an email from France. This man found the name Harry D. Symmonds on the Lee Co. site, listed as a WWII casualty. Symmonds was killed when a German fighter plane shot down the B17 Bomber Symmonds was on. A memorial is planned for May 29, 2003, fifty years from the date of the plane crash near this French town. If you have any information about Harry Symmonds they would appreciate hearing from you. Please share with all of us, who use the IAGenWeb
Lee Co site. Today especially, we all honor the brave men who lost there lifes, protecting the United States.

The URL for the French site is listed below.

May 29, 1943 and May 29, 2003: Remember
