Goldie B. McGregor
Goldie B. McGregor, 72, of West Point, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Born April 23, 1929, in Burlington*, she was the daughter of Earl Asa and June Geneva Mathews Anderson. On April 26, 1947, she married Raymond D. McGregor Jr. in Washington, Kan. He died April 29, 1994.
Mrs. McGregor worked for Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison for 27 years. She also was a homemaker.

She attended New London schools. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed the girls at work, family get-togethers and her special friends, Virgil and Dortha Landrum. She collected angels and Victorian and porcelain dolls.
Survivors include five sons, David A. McGregor of New London, Marvin R. McGregor and Dennis E. McGregor, both of West Point, Carl W. McGregor of Lake Villa, Ill., and Donald J. McGregor of Fort Madison; two daughters, Janet K. Holterhaus and Sandy M. Klesner, both of West Point; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Mehaffy of Danville and Mazie Engelhart of Robinsdale, Minn.; one brother, Dale E. Anderson of Fort Madison; and 23 nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one sister, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Visitation will begin after noon Tuesday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. McGregor will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery in New London.
A memorial has been established for Parkinson's disease research.
*Goldie was born in New London, Henry County, Iowa
