Ardis Wilson

Ardis M. Wilson, 72, 2803 Ave. A, Eagle Bluff Apts., died at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at her home. She died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack.

She was born July 28, 1928, at Donnellson, the daughter of Lee W. and Lena M. Wise Saar, She married Raymond J. Wilson, June 30, 1951, at Fort Madison. He survives.

She was a lifelong resident of the area and retired as a guard at DuPont with Pinkerton Security with 21 years of service. She was a member of Santa Fe United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors, R.S.V.P. and A.A.R.P.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Steven L. Wilson, Moline, Ill. and David C. Wilson, Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Diane R. Wilson, Iowa City; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother.

Friends may call after noon, Thursday, Aug. 10, at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison. Her body has been cremated and there will be no formal family visitation. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home, with Rev. Kathleen Danforth officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for Santa Fe United Methodist Church and contributions may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home.
