VESTA E. KELLER
Mrs. Vesta E. Keller, 80, of Keokuk, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the River Hills Nursing Home, Keokuk, following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 24, 1900, in Croton. She was co-owner of the Shaw Radio and Television from 1936 to 1977. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was active in the Keokuk Garden Club and the Keokuk Art Club.
On March 12, 1955, in Warsaw, Ill., she was married to Dennis W. Keller, who survives.
A cousin, Mrs. Madeline Cloud of Fort Madison, also survives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank S. Shaw, Sr., a son, a daughter and two brothers. Her parents were Charles and Viola Heading Batten.
The funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the DeJong Funeral Home in Keokuk with the Rev. Marvin G. Lowman officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Keokuk.
