Aaron Phillip Wallentine

Aaron Wallentine, 85, of Tyler, Texas passed away July 22, 2003. He was born June 7, 1918 in Donnellson, Iowa and lived in the Tyler area since 1981.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942-1946. He was a retired minister and member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene. He worked in retail sales in Dallas for a number of years. Aaron was also a successful Nazarene pastor serving Nazarene churches in Raymondville, San Angelo and organized and was founding pastor of the Odessa First Church of the Nazarene.

After retirement he remained in the ministry through hospital visitation, teaching Sunday school and was an active participant in various church committees.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Nadine Hamiter Wallentine; children, Darlene Jacobs, Mike Meeks, Jan Davis, Kathy Carroll, grand children, great-grand children, one brother, Homer Wallentine and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for July 25, 2003 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
