Raymond Joseph Howell

Raymond Joseph Howell, the son of Cornelius and Clara May Howell was born December 2, 1891, in Clark County, Missouri, and passed away March 9, 1978, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri. He was 86 years, 3 months and 7 days of age.

He was married to Beulah Owens in 1916.

April 3, 1950, he was united in marriage to Lillie May Hyde, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Richard Howell of Keokuk, Iowa, Dale Howell of Keokuk, and Harold Howell of Burlington, Iowa; two daughters, Virginia Mendenhall of Keokuk, Iowa, and Lucile Osbon of Kahoka, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alva Howell of Arbela, Missouri and Price Howell of Monmouth, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Christian Church.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 11, 1978, in the Gerth & Baskett Funeral Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, with the Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Music was by Ann Luther. Kenneth Campbell sang. Body bearers were Leland Davis, Alfred Tinney, Bob Hunolt, Newton Overfield, Dick Johnson, Jerry Osbon and Elmer White.
