Died This Morning and the Remains
to be Taken to Shelbyville, Mo.
for Interment.

Hugh L. Coons, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Coons, died at the family home, 329 South Fourth street, at 3:15 o'clock this morning, of whooping cough, developing into pneumonia fever, after an illness of four weeks. The little boy was born in Keokuk, June 19, 1914 and was a namesake of Engineer Hugh L. Cooper, mention of which fact was recently mentioned in The Gate City.

The family consisting of father, mother, two sisters and two brothers feel a tender gratefulness to their sympathizing friends and neighbors for the kind acts during the sickness of their little boy and for the heartfelt words of sympathy and condolence that come to them in the sadness of his death.

The remains will be taken at 9:10 o'clock tomorrow morning, to Shelbyville, Mo., for interment.
