William Wisecarver, a retired farmer who has been residing in Keokuk for several years, passed away at Graham hospital at 8:00 o'clock this morning. Death was caused by asthma. Mr. Wisecarver was taken to the hospital yesterday but lived but a few hours. He had been ill for some time past.
While in Keokuk the decedent had been residing at the home of John Baldwin, 219 Exchange street. He came to this city from Kahoka several years ago. He has extensive land interests near Vincennes, Iowa.
William Wisecarver was born at Zanesville, Ohio, in the year 1852, being sixty-four years of age at the time of his death. Later he moved to Kahoka, Mo., where he engaged in farming operations, from which he had retired.
He was never married and was the last of a family of nine children. Relatives of the decedent from Kahoka came to Keokuk this afternoon to take charge of the remains.
