WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 1899STOUT - At the residence of his mother Mrs. Lucinda Clift, 505 Front street, at 3:30 o'clock a. m. March 3, 1899, BERT STOUT, of consumption, aged 19 years.
The deceased will be remembered as an employee at the Metropolitan hotel last summer. He later went to Arkansas and about three months ago returned home, ill and since then the dread disease has gradually sapped his life blood. He was born in Wisconsin and is survived by his mother, and one brother and two half-sisters, namely: Ellis Stout and Misses Ollie and Phoebe Clift. He was a young man who made warm friends of all his acquaintances among whom his early death is much regretted.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 1899The funeral of Bert Stout, who died early Friday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Lucinda Clift, 505 Front street, occurred from the residence at four o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. C. J. Pope conducting a short service. Interment in city cemetery.
