W.G. TESTMAN OF ALEXANDRIA DIES TODAY
Waldemere C. Testman, 72, of Alexandria, Mo., died at 5 o'clock this morning at Graham hospital where he had been a patient since March 17. He had been in failing health the past six months and seriously ill the past four weeks.
Born October 23, 1888 in Lee County, the son of the late Samuel and Marie Bergstrom Testman, he received his education in Lee county. He spent practically all his life farming in Lee county and Clark county, MO. with the exception of seven years when he lived in San Antonio, Tex., during World War I. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
On March 10, 1909 he married Carrie M. Peterson in Keokuk. To this union was born nine children. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Albert(Gladys) Brooks of Alexandria, Mrs. Oliver (Sarah) Parish and Mrs. Dallas (Carrie) Gates both of Keokuk and Mrs. William (Isabel) Ewers of Pryor, Okla., four sons, Raymond, Glenn, and Clyde Testman all of Keokuk and Walter Testman at home, a sister, Mrs. Louis (Ethel) Moander of Montrose, 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Carol and two infant brothers.
Service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. Leland Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Scandinavian cemetery.
