Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” June 17, 1965:

Keith (Pete) Allen, 37, of Fort Madison, a former Ottumwan, died Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

He was a former employe of John Deere Ottumwa Works and in recent years had lived in Fort Madison.

He was born Aug. 13, 1927, and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1945.

Mr. Allen was a member of the Fort Madison Lions Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Elks and the Ottumwa O.B. Nelson Post of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Deevers Allen; a son, Terry, and a daughter, Tammie; three brothers, Merrill, Darrell and Donald Allen; and four sisters, Mrs. Darlene Boatman, Mrs. Edna Reed, Mrs. Lorna Graham and Mrs. Shirly Vance. His parents preceded him in death.

The service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Fort Madison. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Shaul Cemetery here, with a short memorial service.

The body is at the Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison.
