At Alexandria, Tuesday, at 10 o’clock in the Union church occurred the funeral of J.B. Ruble and his son J.A. Ruble. The father J.B. Ruble, was seventy-five years old last October. He was a faithful member of the Christian church for nearly sixty years. He was married twice and was the father of thirteen children, five of whom are dead. He leaves an aged wife, eight children, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His funeral was preached by Rev. Connoran, of Keokuk. Immediately following this sermon, Rev. Smith of the M.E. church of Canton, Mo., preached the funeral of A.J. Ruble. His age was forty-seven years and he leaves a wife and three children. He was recently converted under the ministry of Rev. Mr. Smith.
