Edward Tigue Was Struck by a Train Wednesday and Died Thursday Morning

Thursday relatives in this city received a telegram from Pueblo, Col., stating that Edward Tigue had died there as a result of being struck by a train. He met with the accident Wednesday evening and died about 9 o’clock yesterday morning.

No particulars of the fatal accident have been received in this city as yet but it is presumed that he was working on a train or in the railroad yards as he was always a very industrious man. Mr. Tigue left about six months ago for the west in search of work.

He was born and reared in this city and spent most of his life here. He was 29 years of age in the 20th of last December. He is survived by his father, Patrick Tigue, brothers, Thomas and Patrick Tigue, and sister, Miss Rose Tigue.

The remains will probably be shipped to this city for burial. If such is the case the funeral services will be conducted at St. Peter’s Catholic church of which he was a member.
