Roeglin Rites will be held on Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude M. Roeglin who died at her home near Argyle yesterday morning after an extended illness will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock fromt he Argyle church.
The body will remain at the Person Funeral Home until time for the service. Burial will be made in Sunset Memorial Park.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Richardson she was born at Pocklington England on December 2, 1880 and came to this country at the age of nine years with her parents. She received her education in the public schools of Keokuk.
On October 4, 1900 she married Paul E. Roeglin and they resided on a farm near Argyle until two years ago when he retired.
Mrs. Roeglin was a devout member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church and very active in its organizations. She served as correspondent for The Daily Gate City for 20 years or more and her principal hobby was her care of flowers. A devoted wife and mother her death brought deep sorrow to a wide circle of friends.
Surviving besides her husband are one daughter Mildred, two sons, Lester and Emil, Three grandchildren, Mildred Irene, Paul Walter and Edna Roeglin, all of Keokuk and a sister, Mrs. Charles Hagbery of Compton Calif. one son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Roeglin Argyle dies
Mrs. Paul E. Roeglin, who has served as Gate City correspondent for her community for several years died at 11:30 o’clock this morning at her home one mile east of Argyle.
The body was removed to the Pearson Funeral home here this afternoon. A more complete obituary and funeral arrangements will be published.

Argyle- Mrs. Paul E. Roeglin
Mrs. Maude Roeglin, 61, of near Argyle died in her home Monday morning at 11:30 o’clock. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Argyle Presbyterian church and burial was in Sunset Memorial cemetery at Keokuk. Mrs. Roeglin was born in England Dec 4, 1880, the daughter of Paul and Jane Naylor Richardson and came to the United States when nine years old. She had lived in the Argyle vicinity since that time. In 1900 she was married at Argyle to Paul E. Roeglin. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Midred Roeglin of Keokuk, two sons, Lester and Emil Roeglin, both o Keokuk, a sister, Mrs. Charles Hagberg of Compton Cal and three grandchildren.
