Wm. Sortore, an old and well known citizen of this section, died at his home in Revere Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock of old age. He was born in Seneca county, NY March 17, 1815 and settled in Summitville in 1845, where he lived on the first famr beyond the town and operated a blacksmith shop. He was the first postmaster of Summitville and was known to all old settlers. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Montrose. He removed to Revere about eighteen years ago and has lived there ever since. His final illenss lasted but a few days.
