Mrs. Mary Barker aged 55 years died suddenly at her home on A. T. Adams' farm near Sugar Creek between 7 and 8 o'clock Thursday morning. She complained of pain in her head early in the morning and it rapidly developed into congestion of the brain and her death soon resulted. She is survived by her husband John Barker, and five daughters, Anne , Rose, Eveline, Mary and Belle, also by two sisters Mrs. Heyden and Mrs. Heffman, who live in the country. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Valley M. E. Church.
