Irene L Dunne, 81, a resident of River Hills Village, Keokuk, died at 6:20am Friday Oct 25, 2002 at River Hills.
She was born on Feb. 11, 1921 in Burlington, the daughter of Herbert and Amelia Gladys Wilson Rudd. She married D. Howard Dunne on Dec 12, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept 3, 1967.
Survivors include: two sons Andrew Dunne and his wife Kathy and David Dunne and his wife, Connie, all of Keokuk , a daughter , Mary Davis and her husband, Lowell of Keokuk, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three brothers, Paul Rudd of Keokuk, Thomas Rudd of Warner Ribbins, GA, and Donald Lee of Davenport, a sister, Amy Marcella Jaffe of Lincolnwood Ill and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Joseph and a brother, Richard John Rudd.
She was a longtime resident of Keokuk.
Mrs. Dunne and her husband operated a tavern in Keokuk. She was later employed at Keokuk Convalescent Center fro 18 years.
She was a member of the Keokuk Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Dunne was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk.
Funeral services are at 10 am Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, with the Rev. Christopher David officiating.
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery Keokuk.
Visitation is after 4pm today at Greaves Mortuary, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8pm . A Christian vigil service will be at 7 pm today at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to River Hills Village or the Alzheimer’s Association.
