Howard Dunne dies Sunday, funeral Wed.
D. Howard Dunne of 504 Palean died at 9:40pm Sunday in his home after an extended illness.
The son of William and Lulu Patterson Dunne, he was born November 12, 1905 in Keokuk where he spent all of his life.
He owned and operated Dunne’s Tavern for 35 years.
On December 12, 1946 in Columbia Kan he married Irene L Rudd.
He was a member of St. Peter’s church and a life member of the Eagles and Moose.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Timothy and Harold of Santa Monica, Calif and Andrew and David at home, a daughter Mary at home and a step brother, Andrew J Hickey of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by a son Joseph and a step brother Timothy Hickey.
The Moose will hold a service tonight at 7 pm in the Greaves Mortuary, followed by the Rosary at 7:30 and an Eagle service at 8.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am in St. Peter’s church with burial in the Catholic cemetery.
