The death of Isham L. Burton, aged 88 years, occurred at his home about three miles north of Fort Madison at about 9 O'clock Thursday night. Deceased was born in Harrison county, Ind., in 1811. At the age of 22 he was united in marriage to Miss Lydia Harger, with whom he settled in Des Moines county, this state, in 1846. They remained there until 1861, when he purchased his present homestead. His wife preceded him to the grave about nine years ago.
