Death of Henry Jentz

Mr. Henry Jentz, aged 75 years, died Tuesday evening at his residence south of town. He and Mrs. Jentz moved from Fenton township about eleven years ago, and have since lived in Algona and enjoyed quietness and rest which they had well earned, Mr. Jentz was a comparatively robust, man, but an attack of pneumonia coupled with heart weakness ended his well spent life.

Mr. Jentz was a native of Hanover, Germany, and came to America in 1859. He lived for some years in New York City and did a mercantile business there, and then moved to Jefferson, Greene county, Iowa, where he went to farming. The family moved to Kossuth county in 1882 and settled on a farm in Fenton township where the old folks remained until they moved to Algona. Their family consists of three sons and one daughter. The sons are William and the twin brothers, Frank and Henry, and the daughter, Mrs. C. H. Heinsohn. Henry and Mrs. Heinsohn are residents of Algona, and William and Frank are still residents Fenton. The funeral will take place today at 1 o'clock from the German Lutheran church, and the services will be conducted by Rev. Faulstich of Whittemore. The deceased ever led a consistent Christian life, and he died with a prayer on his lips. Peace to his spirit!

Father of Mrs. Heinsohn Passes Away Yesterday at His Home in the South Part of Algona

Yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock occurred the death of Henry Jentz at his home just south of Algona. Mr. Jentz was born in Germany 75 years ago and had been a resident of Kossuth county for 28 years, first settling in Seneca. He leaves a wife and four children, Fred and Will Jentz of Fenton, aud Henry Jentz and Mrs. L. Heinsohn of Algona, all well respected people in their home communities, The deceased was a man of honesty and many good parts and his memory will ever be cherished by his children and those who knew him. The funeral will be held at the German Reformed church in Algona Friday afternoon at two o'clock, and the interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
