June 23, 1977 - Emmetsburg Democrat - West Bend — Funeral services for William Wolfe of West Bend were held June 18 at 9 a.m. from St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Louis Greving officiated over services. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Bode with Schellhammer Funeral Home of West Bend in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Donald Wolfe, Mark Wolfe, Dana Wolfe, Dave Ludwig, Lyle Baas, Marvin Reiland, Gordon Hintges and Russell Kunkel.

Mr. Wolfe died June 16 at Park Memorial Hospital in Mason City. He was 65. William Wolfe was born Jan 3, 1912 at Bode, the son of Henry and Margaret Wolfe. He received his education in the Bode schools and farmed with his parents for a number of years. Later he became a truck driver and moved to West Bend.

Surviving are five sisters and three brothers: Mrs. George Baas, Mrs. Paul Ludwig and Mrs. Howard Hentgers, all of Algona; Mrs. Leonard Bower of Clear Lake, Mrs. Omer Kunkel of Britt, Michael Wolfe of Clinton, Francis Wolfe of West Bend, and Nichols Wolfe of Fort Dodge.
