March 6, 1947 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Whittemore: Funeral services for Anna Mary Wiltgen, 90, were held Thursday morning at St. Michael's Catholic church, Rev. William Veit officiating. She passed away at her home Monday morning, where she has lived the past 37 years.

Anna Mary Wiltgen was born at Luxemburg, Ia., Jan. 12, 1857. .. (can't read) on a farm near St. Joe, farming until Mr. Wiltgen passed away in 1898, and in 1910 she moved here and has lived here ever since.

Mr. and Mrs. Wiltgen were the parents of six children. Her husband and two children preceded her in death, and those who mourn her death are Mrs. Mary Keene, Mrs. Elizabeth Franks of Whittemore, Mrs. Catherine Longland, Bruce, S.D., and John Wiltgen, Salem, S.D. Burial was in the St. Joe cemetery beside the grave of her husband. Pallbearers were John and Erwin Wiltgen, John Longland, Ralph Koppen, Raymond Hogan, and Floriari Neuroth.

Among those that came from a distance were Mrs. Geo. Longland and son John, Bruce, S.D., John Wiltgen, Salem, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ferske, Boyd, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Kramer and son, Irvington, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kramer, Bode, Mr. and Mrs. A. Thilges, Algona, Mrs. Mary Ann Mallinger, a sister and daughter, Katie Mallinger, Sigourney, Iowa.
