Oct 1, 1970 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Arthur V. Wildin, 63 year old retired farmer, died Monday morning at St. Ann Hospital. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at St. Joe with the Rev. David J. Hogan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Hamilton-Wilson Funeral Home of Algona in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were James Wildin, Richard Francis, Robert Kuhlmann, Henry Heiderscheidt, Ervin Mertz, and Alex Thilges.

Mr. Wildin was born December 5, 1906 at Eagle Grove. His parents were Lewis and Lillian Flowers Wildin. He attended rural schools at Eagle Grove and Algona and also the Algona High School. He was married to Helen Heiderscheidt May 12, 1937 at St. Joe. They farmed in the St. Joe - Bode area for six years and for 20 years near Owatonna, Minn, before retiring in 1962. They moved to Loveland, Colo, for one year, then to Atlanta, Nebraska where they were making their home.

Surviving besides Mrs. Wildin is one son, Jerry, of Loveland, Colo, and three grandsons. Two brothers, George, Algona; Lewis, Owatonna, Minn, and two sisters, Wilma, Mrs. Floyd Bacon of Algona and Mary, Mrs. Leonard Francis, Omaha, also survive.
