Feb 11, 1954 - Kossuth County Advance - Funeral mass for Nicholas Weydert, 87, will be celebrated at St. Cecelia's church Friday morning at 9:30, with Father Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joe cemetery.

Mr. Weydert died Feb. 9, at his home on East North street. Nicholas Weydert was born in Luxemburg, Dec. 23, 1866. He migrated to America in 1889, coming straight to St. Joe where he had a brother. On Nov. 21, 1894 he was married to Elizabeth Erpelding and they farmed till retiring to Algona 27 years ago.

Mr. Weydert is survived by his widow and a son, Frank Bormann. He was the last of his family, five brothers and a sistes preceded him in death. Hamiltons are in charge of funeral arrangements.
