April 30, 1940 - Algona Upper Des Moines - St. Joe: Nicholas Weydert, 78, passed away Friday, April 26th, at Dubuque from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:30 in St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. George Theobald reading the high mass. Interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery in the family lot.

Mr. Weydert is survived by six sons, James of Easton, Minn., Peter of Whittemore, Mike of New Richland, Minn., John of Algona, Joe of near Hardy, and Leo of West Bend.

His wife, one daughter, Anna, (Mrs. Math Ziemet), and one son, Frank, preceded him in death. Mr. Weydert was a resident of this vicinity until two years ago.
