Feb 21, 1936 - Humboldt Republican - Mrs. Mary Thilges died at the home of her son, Leo Thilges Sunday noon. She was 80 yrs. old and an early St. Joseph settler. She had been in poor health for many years, and grew gradually weaker till the end. Her husband died many years ago.

Five sons survive; Nick, Whittemore; John, West Bend; William, Joseph, and Leo, St. Joe. Funeral services were set for Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, but due to extreme cold and drifted roads it had to be postponed.
