March 13 1925 - Bode Bugle - Michael Thilges died at his son Henry's, north of Bode, Friday night. He had been in poor health for a year. The cause of his death was old age.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Thilges: Mrs. Michael Pfeffer, Mrs. Wagner, Henry, and the late Mrs. Illg. Mrs. Thilges died 13 years ago. Mr. Thilges was 80 years old at death. Funeral services were conducted by Father Stork at the St. Joseph Catholic church Monday morning and burial was made in the St. Joe cemetery.
