She was born to Theodore and Katherine Schroedor on Jan. 1, 1887 in St. Joe. The family lived in Dubuque until she was eight years old and then in St. Joe for several years before coming to Wesley in 1897.

In 1910 she went to Milwaukee, where she was employed as housekeeper until called home by the death of her step-mother in 1923. She cared for her father until his death in 1938 and since that time has lived alone in the family home. For many years she was severely handicapped by crippling arthritis and deafness, but remained mentally alert and maintained a keen interest in her church and the people about her. Except for a few weeks in the hospital in February, 1954, following a fall in her home. She has not been able to leave the two-room apartment in her home for four years.

On Monday morning a neighbor girl, Florence Weig, found her unconscious on the floor of her home and she was taken to St. Ann hospital, Algona, where she lingered in a coma for 10 hours.

She is survived by three sisters and one brother; Mrs. Marie Wright and Mrs. Glenn Francis (Katherine) of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Ann Terharr, of Rice, Minn., and Nick Schroeder, of Pierz, Minn. The latter two attended the funeral. Burial was made in the family lot in St. Joe Cemetery.
